Ek Deewana Tha Movie Overview:

Ek Deewana Tha (Hindi: एक दीवाना था; English: There Was A Crazy Guy) is the title of an upcoming Hindi romantic drama film, written and directed by Gautham Menon, featuring Prateik Babbar and Amy Jackson, in her Bollywood debut, in the lead roles. This film is a remake of Gautham Menon's own Tamil film,Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, with a different cast and climax, featuring soundtrack and film score composed by A. R. Rahman, while the cinematography and editing are handled by M. S. Prabhu and Anthony Gonsalves, respectively.

While on production stage, the film was titled Prem Katha, but was renamed as Ek Deewana Tha, as the director wanted some abstract title for the movie, similar to the original. The film, produced by IN Entertainment, which is an entity of the Hinduja Group and Gautham Menon's Photon Kathaas, is currently in post-production and is set to be released on 13 January 2012.
